An interview with one of Boston's most beloved personalities
It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means….time to unwind.
Every once in a Wednesday, we Zoom with someone who is inspirational, fun, spirited and fearless – four words that easily describe Joyce Kulhawik. Joyce is best known for her 25-year stint as the Emmy Award-winning Arts & Entertainment Critic for CBS-Boston. But that really just scratches the surface.
The stories! Joyce Kulhawik has had both cello prodigy, YoYo Ma, and tennis legend, Serena Williams, in her living room. And, she learned the hard way not to mess with John Travolta. As for what happened with Russian ballet star, Rudolf Nureyev, well that you’ll have to hear to believe! Enjoy this intimate one-on-one with one of Boston’s most beloved personalities – Joyce is a three-time cancer survivor and long-time host of the Pink Pages Fundraiser for the Hoffman Breast Center at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, the president of the Boston Theater Critics Association, and she oversees her arts and entertainment website joyceschoices.com. When you see her, you will agree that somehow she is aging backwards.
Joyce talks with her friend, and friend of The Pinehills, Janet Prensky. There may be laughter involved.
