Alice is interviewed here by one of our longtime Pinehills friends, Janet Prensky, who some of you may recognize as the host of our annual Reindog Parade. She and Alice are old friends….can you tell?
Every week, The Pinehills takes you somewhere different to unwind. This week, we are taking you directly to New York Times bestselling author Alice Hoffman’s Cambridge living room. She tells us about what she’s writing, how she’s staying busy, and of course…what she’s eating.
Alice has published over 30 novels, including Here on Earth, an Oprah’s Book Club choice, and Practical Magic, which became a hit movie starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. Her soon-to-be-released new book, Magic Lessons, will be available on October 6th, 2020.
Besides her prolific writing, Alice, a 20-year breast cancer survivor, created the Hoffman Breast Center at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge – her pride and joy. Yearly, she gathers her author friends together for the Hoffman Center's Pink Pages fundraiser. This year's live Pink Pages event has been postponed until Spring 2021, but we can still connect with our favorite authors in the Pink Pages line-up through the Pink Pages Weekly Reader. The first issue features #1 bestselling author, Jodi Picoult. You can subscribe to receive the newsletter weekly, each issue spotlighting a Pink Pages author with an exclusive interview and look inside their work.
