Kerr Dental Associates boasts two convenient locations one of which is located at 3 Market Crossing in The Pinehills Village Green. We sat down with Dr. Stephen Kerr to find out how his business launched and some of the great services they provide for all of Plymouth and beyond:
Tell us a little bit about Kerr Dental Associates.
Our practice has been in Plymouth for 27 years, starting at 233 Water Street on Plymouth’s beautiful waterfront. Two and a half years ago, we opened a second location here in The Pinehills Village Green. We are a family dental practice with four highly trained and diverse dentists, allowing us to offer a wide variety of services such as same day crowns, implants, cosmetic/esthetic dentistry, teeth whitening and services specific to children and seniors. We also have the ability to provide Nitrous Oxide sedation (laughing gas) and oral sedation for patients who are apprehensive about dental treatment. Our services include general family dentistry as well as implants, cosmetic dentistry (including veneers), same day crowns, whitening, endodontic (root canals) and Smartmoves orthodontic treatment. We are also able to provide some basic TMJ services and evaluation and offer Nitrous (laughing gas) and Oral Sedation options.
What made you choose The Pinehills for your second location?
A great facility became available at a time when we were out growing our office on Water Street. The South Plymouth area had only one other dentist, so we thought we would fulfill a need there as well as for the growing Pinehills community. We were excited at the prospect of providing outstanding dentistry to a whole new clientele.
And has The Pinehills lived up to your expectations?Without a doubt! We are drawing patients from both inside and outside The Pinehills, both North and South. We have found our Pinehills patients to be friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic supporters of our practice, and the source of many wonderful referrals.
Did we see you singing at Café Olio during the Acoustic Nights music series this summer?
Music has always been a very important part of my life. I enjoy singing with family and friends and sing background vocals with a local music group, The David James Duo. This past summer I performed at Café Olio as part of the Acoustic Nights Summer Music Series. I’ve has also been known to sing to my patients in the chair! It calms me and hopefully my patients can say the same.
Kids giving up their Halloween candy – tell us about that and other community involvement! Our community involvement includes a Halloween Candy Buy Back event where we “buy back” unwanted or excess Halloween candy from children. The candy is then donated to our troops overseas by way of local veterans groups, to be used in their holiday boxes. We also sponsor and decorate a tree each Christmas at the Cranberry Hospice’s Festival of Trees, a great annual event to benefit Jordan Hospital’s hospice program. Our staff has a lot of fun at both these events, as well as at The Pinehills Holidays on the Green event where we have provided complimentary hot cider for the last two years.
This year our Halloween Candy Buyback will be on Saturday November 3rd from 9am to noon at The Pinehills Office. $1 per pound. Please Call 508-747-5400 or visit www.plymouthsmile.com if you have any questions or would like more information on how we can help you today.
