And Farewell to our Friend Jason Blood
Farewell to a Friend and Excellent Colleague
First, help us bid farewell and thank Jason Blood, The Market’s General Manager since 2016. Jason is headed back to his happy place - New Hampshire. Jason did remarkable work leading his team at The Market, especially through the challenging pandemic years. He did not ask of his team what he was not willing to step up and do himself. (And boy, there weren’t many business hours that Jason wasn’t at The Market.) With the future looking brighter, we so appreciate Jason’s hard work, commitment, and community pride. Wishing you all the best in your new adventures, friend.
Congratulations to a Superstar Team Player
Cherish MacDonald, The Market’s newly minted General Manager, began her career at The Pinehills in 2004, welcoming visitors to the Summerhouse. She was involved in The Market start-up, including the creation of the original handbook. And since the doors opened in 2008, she has been a cornerstone there. No doubt you’ve seen her on one of your Market visits – even though many of her days are spent in the back office, she is hands-on with her team and each department. In Cherish's 15 years at The Market, while she literally helped write the original book on The Markets’ operations, she continued to grow and evolve however the business needed, earning the trust and respect of the entire team.
Beyond Professional Accolades
When Cherish is away from The Market you can bet that she’s with her family, bringing the same passion and dedication to her personal life as she does to her professional role. Whether it’s crafting, being a cheer-mom, tending her garden, losing herself in a good book, or diving into playful adventures with dinosaurs and monster trucks alongside her grandchildren, she’s a devoted mother and grandmother who “cherishes” her family time.
Cherish, The Market is in your incredibly capable hands and we can’t imagine a better captain of the ship. Congratulations!
