New England Development (NED) Chairman and CEO, Stephen Karp and Vice Chairman, Steven Fischman were honored last week with the Robert S. Swain, Jr. Distinguished Service Award from the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA), a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. More than 500 people from the real estate industry paid tribute to Steve and Steve at the REFA Gala, celebrating their many accomplishments.
Said NED President, Douglass Karp, "These two extraordinary men have worked together for over 30 years on hundreds of deals. I’ve been lucky to have them both as mentors and now as business partners. But it’s not just what they do in business that makes them great; it’s the countless hours of working with non-profits that makes them the remarkable men that they are. From hospitals, to academic intuitions, to the fight for social justice, these men stand up. There is no task too small or obstacle too big for either of these men. I’m honored to work beside them and learn from these two great men."
