Celebrating with a list of 10 Things We Love about our Favorite French Manor House on the Green.
Can you believe it? Forbes Four-Star rated Mirbeau Inn & Spa has been pampering The Pinehills, Plymouth and beyond for a whole decade! Time really does fly when you’re having luxurious fun. A gorgeous crown jewel atop the Village Green, we can’t imagine The Pinehills without it. To celebrate this milestone, we’ve made a list of 10 things we adore about this (not-so-hidden) gem.
1. Feeling Transported to France
The vision of Mirbeau's founders was of a destination getaway, focused on hospitality, but close to home. An escape from the crazy pace of life. They succeeded. Like magic, once inside Mirbeau Inn & Spa, you feel like you’ve been instantly transported to a French country manor. The grounds are so picturesque, you might think you’ve stumbled into a Monet painting.
2. Warm Welcomes and Friendly Staff
First impressions matter, and Mirbeau nails it. We love being greeted by the familiar face of Rick Patano. (You may remember him as Mirbeau’s serenading doorman who performed a memorable quarantine concert while caretaking the hotel.) The front desk team, including Guest Services Director Jim Janusas, is a professional welcoming committee. Every team member, from Meg, Debi and Kyrstin in the restaurant, to the wonderful housekeeping staff, ensures your visit is nothing short of spectacular. And it all starts with General Manager, Patty McPherson. You’ll feel like royalty, minus the paparazzi.
4. Romantically Cozy Rooms
If there wasn’t so much to lure you out of your chambers, we promise you’d be perfectly content to stay in. The atmospheric guest rooms at Mirbeau Inn & Spa have fireplaces for a romantic glow, and luxurious clawfoot soaking tubs, perfect for channeling your inner French aristocrat and indulging in a bubble bath. Notable are the beds, so comfy you’ll think you’re sleeping on a cloud. (That comfy mattress? It’s exclusive to Mirbeau Inn & Spa. You can buy one for your home!)
5. Savoring the French Bistro Charm
Every time we walk into the Bistro & Wine Bar at Mirbeau, sometimes sporting a fluffy Mirbeau robe, we know we are in for a treat.
Chef de Cuisine, Jake Silins, and his team are the masterminds behind the culinary wonder featuring fresh, local, seasonal ingredients in dishes that are as gorgeous as they are delicious. Oh, and don’t forget the dessert menu featuring our favorite, “Le Crookie”. It’s a cookie dough-stuffed croissant ice cream sandwich. Need we say more?
Whether you're dining at the Bistro & Wine Bar or the Garden Bar, the whole vibe is perfect for taking your time and really enjoying the very French experience — no rushing allowed here!
6. Wine. Wine. Wine.
Sommelier, Andrew Salamanca, the resident wine wizard at the Bistro & Wine Bar, magically pairs the perfect wine with your meal to make every bite even more delicious. P.S. Mirbeau has their very own Mirbeau Wines and they are a must-try!
7. Spa Mirbeau. An Oasis of Relaxation.
Spa Mirbeau is the perfect place for a day of pampering or a girls’ getaway. Get ready to relax and let all the outside noise of life slip away. Don one of those plush robes, dip your toes into the heated whirlpool, and sip your tea.
Among the (many) popular treatments, Spa Manager, Diane Scott, recommends the Mirbeau Signature Facial and Signature Massage, true classics, and the new HydraFacial treatments.
If you’re looking for a truly unique wellness experience, check out the Monet Meditation series starting in August. And yes, meditation takes place in the oh-so-tranquil Monet Gardens.
In the spirit of balance, after all that relaxation, guests can also make use of the well-appointed Spa Mirbeau fitness studio, or take one of the complimentary instructor-led fitness classes.
8. The Aqua Terrace (or as we call it, the Ahhhhqua Terrace)
Hot tub, bar, and private cabanas? Yes, please! You might imagine that you're on a chic Mediterranean getaway when spending time at the Aqua Terrace. Add a fancy snack and specialty cocktail and you’ll feel oh-so-sophisticated. Be sure to step into the Solarium on those not-so-warm and sunny days.
9. Happily, Ever After Starts Here
So you’ve found your forever person, congratulations! Now you need a fairytale location for your special day. We’ve attended many a wedding and event at Mirbeau, and we promise you, Food and Beverage Manger, Meg Bradley and Sales Director, Suzanne Miraglia will make sure your big day is so perfect, even Cinderella will be jealous.
10. So Close
Perfect for those times you need a getaway without going too far away. The Pinehills and Mirbeau Inn & Spa are located just 45 miles from Boston and 7 miles from Cape Cod in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Once you’ve soaked in all the wonderful inside Mirbeau, Plymouth has an itinerary waiting for you. It’s a destination not just for history buffs, but also foodies, art lovers, and beachcombers!
A Decade of Friendship
Last, but certainly not least, we love the special bond Mirbeau Inn & Spa shares with The Pinehills. Over the past decade, Mirbeau has been more than just a neighbor, they’ve been partners, collaborators, and friends. From shared events to community initiatives, Mirbeau is an integral part of what makes The Pinehills so special.
Here’s to ten incredible years of luxury, relaxation, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to see what the next decade holds. Cheers to another ten years of bliss at Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth!
